Answer the Call, also known as the New York Police & Fire Widows' and Orphans' Benefit Fund, provides assistance to the families of New York City's first responders who have been killed in the line of duty. The outreach extends to New York City police officers, firefighters, Port Authority police officers, and EMS personnel.
