The Tomorrows Children's Fund (TCF) was originally founded by a group of parents to help their children and others like them confront the challenges of cancer and serious blood disorders. TCF provides a warm, healthy, and loving environment for children in treatment and a full scope of services to relieve families' emotional and financial stress. Mark Messier and his family have been involved with TCF practically since he first arrived in New York to play for the Rangers. Whether it's visiting sick children in the hospital, helping to raise funds, or building awareness, Mark has worked tirelessly in behalf of TCF. In 2003, TCF honored Mark by creating the "Mark Messier Skyway for Tomorrows Children" at Hackensack University Medical Center. The Skyway is "a place where children can relax and play during their stay at HackensackUMC ... a hockey fantasyland, complete with interactive video, games, and personal memorabilia marking some of [Mark's] most memorable moments."
